I wanted to try and recreate the Pago Pago Painkiller. This is a drink I had at the pool bars when I was staying at the Polynesian Resort a few years ago. This has always been one of my favorite resorts and it was my first time staying there. I have always liked to try the cocktails that are unique to a resort, and this one fits the bill for my lifestyle. This was a drink I enjoyed so much I ordered it more then once during my stay. I found it refreshing, light and a little sweet. It’s just a combination of dark rum, pineapple, orange juice, and creme of coconut with a sprinkle of spice, but it’s a wonderful tropical drink.

Here’s what I have been describing, a lovely tropical drink

So Let’s Get Started:

You will need all of These Ingredients

Ingredients Include: Pineapple Juice, Orange Juice, Dark Rum, Creme of Coconut, Cinnamon, and Nutmeg ( any brand will work for the ingredients, this is just what I found in the store or had in my home)

My recipe makes about two servings. Start with 8oz Pineapple Juice.

Add 6oz of Orange Juice.

Add 4oz Dark Rum.

Add about 3oz Creme of Coconut and ice to fill the shaker. Shake it up.

Fill two cups with ice and strain your mixture into the cups.

Sprinkle with Nutmeg and Cinnamon

Enjoy, all we really need now is a great tropical themed view and maybe some fireworks!!!
